# The control measure page

What you can record and see on a single control measure.

Click a measure in the library to open it. The page keeps together everything about that measure: its general data, where it is used, and its documents.

## General data

The top of the page shows the starting date, revision date, date of creation and latest update, followed by the description, who is responsible, the type of measure, the department and the visibility. On the right, a tasks block shows the tasks linked to the measure. Use the **pencil** to edit the data, for example when the revision date passes.

## Where the measure is used

Further down the page you find:

* **Linked topics**: the topics the measure covers, with the articles covered and the design and effectiveness scores. Use **Select topics** to add more.
* **Risks**: the risks in your risk assessments that this measure mitigates.
* **Monitoring reports** linked to the measure. See [Monitoring reports](/monitoring/monitoring-reports.md).
* **Documents**: upload the policy or procedure itself with **Upload document**. Storing the document with the measure means everyone works from the same, current version rather than a copy on a shared drive.

| **Link policy**    | Link a policy that belongs with this measure                   |
| **Link procedure** | Link a procedure that belongs with this measure                |
| **Create task**    | Create a task linked to this measure, for example to revise it |
| **Edit**           | Change the general data                                        |
| **Archive**        | Archive the measure                                            |
